What We’re Reading: “One Glass, Seven Layers of Tea”

We often steep a pot of tea and browse through favorite online publications to soak in what’s new in the tea world. While reading the Wall Street Journal, we came across this fascinating article about a seven-layered glass of tea in Bangladesh.

“Mr. Gour invented his colorful layered teas 10 years ago, when he was selling tea from a bamboo shack. He says he realized that teas from different leaves have slightly different densities. It took a year of experimenting before he could sell teas with more than two layers. Over the years, he learned to expand to seven.”

We are very inspired by the creativity that goes into each of Mr. Gour’s famous cups and blended layers of tea that are bursting with unique flavors. It’s rather poetic to think of each layer as a different tea experience that we can share on our tea-inspired journey. So, steep a cup or a whole pot and enjoy the article.

What unique tea creation or tea moments are you steeping and sharing lately?
